My Brixham Holiday

Fisherman’s Wharf

Sleeps 6
3 Bedrooms
3 Bathrooms

Fisherman’s Wharf is a Georgian-era refurbished fisherman’s cottage, watching over Brixham’s busy harbour and the come and go of the port’s many boats.

The refurbishment, while excellently done, has not cost the cottage any of its authenticity and character, merging historic warmth with the comfort of the contemporary mod cons on which we have come to rely. Sweeping across four floors, the cottage features several gorgeous bay windows and a rear terrace area, all of which are options for enjoying the aforementioned views or for socialising with your fellow weary wayfarers! The property’s spacious nature gives the capacity for occupants to dip their toes into communal areas or retreat to their own private area. No expense has been spared by the owners to make this a warm and comfortable home with emphatic wood furniture and accents throughout from the chest of drawers in the bedroom to the wood beam in the lounge space. Burgundy sofas and carpets offer a valuable pop of colour to draw the eye. The kitchen is bright with granite countertops, a high-quality cooking oven, and several other appliances. Enjoy beautiful trawler art while taking advantage of it to cook a wonderful meal; there’s a wonderful dining area to enjoy a hearty meal indoors! On its top two floors, Fisherman’s Wharf has three spacious bedrooms with space for six people, ideal for families. The en-suites are tiled and polished with walk-in showers and one featuring a bathtub. In an ideal location on King Street with an internal garage, and a downstairs W/C, there is no absence of conveniences to ensure smooth sailing during your stay!

Location information…

Fisherman’s Wharf is situated on King Street, an incredibly convenient central location. The internal parking garage is uncommon for the Brixham area.

On-foot access to the town centre is by steps or hill. An eclectic range of eateries and shops emerge at the foot of the steps onto Fore Street, the town’s central thoroughfare; familiar high street names like Costa co-exist with Brixham businesses such as Dilly Dally and the West Country Deli.

Close by is Middle Street, a hotbed of independent business.

A short walk takes you to the ferries or the main Brixham bus stop that can take you to destinations in Torbay and beyond.

Along the harbour you can head to the breakwater and its half-mile walk to the lighthouse, or the nearby shingle beach. The beach has a Blue Flag Award — a global standard that commends cleanliness, safety, and environmental considerations.
