Midships

Sleeps 4
2 Bedrooms
2 Bathrooms

Midships is situated on the first floor of a converted house, owned by the same family since the 1950s. The enviable windows offer a snapshot of harbour life from the lounge. The owners leave a welcome pack provided with each booking: hot drinks, milk, and complimentary wine for you to enjoy as you are unwinding after your arrival.

This apartment is truly a home from home, and many guests choose to return to ‘Magical Midships’ year on year. It features a contemporary open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen is well-appointed and benefits from a sleek, functional minimalist style that characterises the apartment.

En-suite king-size bedrooms ensure maximum comfort. The master bedroom has a Jack-and-Jill style en-suite with a shower over a bath, while the second bedroom’s en-suite has a walk-in shower and heated towel rails.

The utility room provides a sink and washer/dryer for a few extra conveniences. Most convenient of all, however, is the dedicated parking a few minutes’ walk away on the harbourside below. Even if you prefer to stay inside, the wifi will keep you connected to the world beyond.

Location Information

Midships is a first-floor apartment, settled at the bottom of Bay View Steps. Just off King Street, you’ll find an eclectic range of eateries and shops close by. More familiar high street names like Costa co-exist with Brixham businesses such as Dilly Dally and the West Country Deli.

A short walk takes you to the ferries or the main Brixham bus stop that can take you to destinations in Torbay and beyond.

Along the harbour, you can head to the breakwater and its half-mile walk to the lighthouse, or the nearby shingle beach. The beach has a Blue Flag Award — a global standard that commends cleanliness, safety, and environmental considerations.
