Pirates Rest

Pirates’ Rest is an expansive three floor cottage looking over the town’s working harbour, playing upon Brixham’s rich sailing history. The seafaring scoundrel motif is carried on throughout the property with model boats, a spoked sailing wheel, and ocean paintings as well as other pirate-themed surprises to discover like little treasures throughout your stay.

On the ground floor at the very back of the cottage there is the twin bunk room and shower room. Up the staircase at the back is a double bedroom. There is a classic dining area with a blue accent wall. This sits close to a window so you can enjoy your meals without leaving the wonderful views. Close at hand is the considerable kitchen with plentiful storage space, a washing machine, dishwasher, and fridge freezer, meaning it’s incredibly convenient to cook and serve meals to enjoy as a group.

If you’d rather avoid cooking, it’s not far at all to the town centre, where you can find everything from a local Italian on Fore Street, takeaway pizza and Chinese, and of course the town’s many seafood restaurants. During the day there are also several options to support independent cafés on the town’s main thoroughfare.

The living area is located on the first floor with a relaxing corner sofa in front of one of the property’s flat screen TVs, with a tasteful wood and glass table that’s perfect for wine. A spacious shower-over-bath family bathroom is also on this floor

A master bedroom occupies the complete top floor, with a W/C, skylight, and loft windows. This separation enables everybody to retreat to their own space if desired while sharing the communal areas.

Parking is situated on the harbourside but is not owned by the property so will incur a charge — please specify on booking.
